One of the pioneers for the New West promises to be Melo Kan. Born and raised in Southern California on the streets of Rialto, Compton, and South Central Los Angeles, Melo began his rap grind full force in 2001.

As many of you know, February 7th was both J DIlla’s birthday and ten years to the day of Big Pun’s passing (and February 6th being Bob Marley’s birthday). Grammy nominated Canadian rapper Drake has announced his first ever North American solo tour with the launch of “The Away From Home Tour.”
