Who Is Mickey Factz?

The embodiment of Hip Hop, the reason your eardrums were created and The Digital Messiah all wrapped in one.

I was the cat everybody rocked with. I was decent in ball, wiseguy but still smart in class and I could destroy any beat playing. Whether in the lunchroom or the studio.

*Why did you choose rap?

I chose rap cause it was easy to do and I loved to do it. Once I found out that people loved what I did, then I had to continue to do it and pursue it as a full time career.

*When did you record your first joint?

First joint I ever made was when I was about 16 years old. I was in a group. Called Black Bushido and Renegade. We made a 2 track demo called 6 Express. I got it the record on tape. That’s how old it was.

Tell us (MOP) something, that you never told to anyone on TV/internet/media… it doesnt have to be a big secret…

I was close to quitting early 2008. I had put out 3 mixtapes with no big time results. I thought everything was being done in vein. Boy was I wrong.

Okay, now that we know you better… can you walk us through your discography?

Shit… as Mickey Factz, I started out with Kings of the Bronx which I did with J’von Bishop. That came out in Feb 06. Then my first solo project,”In Search Of The N.E.R.D.” dropped in Sept 06. Then it was a crazy hiatus cause I was recording songs tryna find my sound. I came back strong finally dropping the long awaited “Flashback Vol. 1: Back To The Future” in July. 3 months later, I dropped the genre bending, “Heavens Fallout”. Then I started the New Year out by releasing a track every week. I titled it “The Leak”. It was a compilation of 36 songs broken into two pieces of art titled “The Understanding” and “The Inspiration”. Next year “The Achievement” will round out the series. Damn that’s a lot of music.

Top 5 rappers in no order: Jay-Z, Big Pun, Biggie Smalls, Jadakiss, Big Daddy Kane. Top 5 rappers that suck? Hmm iono. Too many to name.

Whats e-beef? Can it lead to violence? (cuz alot of rappers be on that shit nowadays, is it serious though?)

Lol. Iono what E-beef is… Oh I guess its internet heckling or youtube threatening. It can lead to violence if someone is serious and runs into people but 9 times out of 10 you won’t. Most times the people that make fun of you be at the shows. Lol

My favorites are Nahright, 2dopeboyz, Differentkitchen, Realtalkny, Worldstar, Smokingsection, XXLmag, Herfection, Streetcosignor, Illroots, Onsmash, Okayplayer and Hypetrak. MOP is starting to grow on me. I rock with the interviews a lot.
