The time has come for Prote-J ’s “Good Hip Hop Meets Radio” to be released and I could not be more excited. All 14 original songs on the free album were written and produced by Prote-J. The past few days I gave you two leaks off of the record and now I present to you the full free album and tracklist.

The rapper/producer/songwriter plays drums, bass, guitar, and piano. Combining his talent, music for the masses, and the strong team he has behind him, his stardom is guaranteed. The world needs to hear this kid, thanks for your support!

The legendary Guru is the frontman and founder of both GangStarr and the worldwide acclaimed Jazzmatazz. Guru was the first artist to truly blend Hip-Hop with Live Jazz beginning in 1993, and seeing the vast influences his Jazzmatazz concept has had on the industry, it is clear that Guru’s musical contributions have been way ahead of their time.

The first 3 Jazzmatazz albums were released in 1993, 1995 and 2000. Not only did the early Jazzmatazz music challenge the boundaries of Hip-Hop, Jazz, Soul, R&B, etc., the live aspect was something that none of these genres had ever seen. On a deeper level, the Jazzmatazz show was the first time anyone had seen a vocalist with a live band and DJ which has now become an industry standard stretching all the way to Rock N Roll. Jazzmatazz was the first Hip-Hop act to be asked to play at the world’s most prestigious music festivals and brought with it a whole new audience as well as a new youthful appreciation for Jazz and live music which continues to this day. Since its inception there has been no credible comparison to the originality and broad appeal of a Guru’s Jazzmatazz concert. This is one of the most captivating musical experiences ever world over!

The release of “Jazzmatazz Vol. 4: The Hip Hop-Jazz Messenger” sparked the rejuvenation of the Jazzmatazz series due to the brilliant production and masterful arrangements brought forth by his producer and partner Solar. Produced exclusively by Silver, the project’s goal was to maintain the integrity of the source material while creating a rich new sound not typically found in Hip-Hop. The references are incredibly diverse and range from The Beatles to Bloc Party to Soul II Soul. I put a lot of love into every record to ensure that each has a different sound and a different approach, but more importantly, a different feel. Download: Lloyd – Like Me (The Young Goldie EP)

Today Lloyd releases his first “post Murder Inc.” project, a FREE 8-song EP titled, Like Me: The Young Goldie EP, available for download via his blog at YoungGoldie.com. An impressive lineup of artist and producers were assembled to complete the project, including Lil Wayne, Drake, Bun-B, The Runners, Cool & Dre, Nicki Minaj, J. Holiday, and others. The lead single “Pusha” with Lil Wayne is quickly spreading across the country.

Of the EP, Lloyd says, “Some of the songs are personal to me. I’m speaking about life experiences, and taking it back to the beginning.” He went on to say, “We wanted to show people things that they’ve never seen or heard from me before… from the music to the artwork.”

Not only are some of the songs more personal than what Lloyd fans may be use to, the EP’s design includes several photos of a young Lloyd, adding a piece of his personal history to every download.

Lloyd continues to work on his 4th studio album due out in 2010, and can be heard assisting Lil Wayne, Drake and the rest of the Young Money crew on their new hit single “Bedrock”.

Soul Food is a combination of traditional Hip Hop music. Soul Food is presented by the group “Definition” that consist of recording artist K. Sparks & producer Pajozo. Soul Food is an excellent blend of authentic Hip Hop music. Soul is now available on iTunes.
