“This is my first video,” he told MTV while shooting the clip. “I’ve shot a lot of videos before, but this is my first attempt to establish myself as Drake the artist. Shooting the other videos I’ve done has been great. I really don’t care what other people think about them, they were great experiences for me. I’ve learned a lot from them. Today, I’m shooting with somebody I really look up to and respect. I’m shooting with Anthony Mandler.”

Mandler and Drake are taking on a lot of compelling visuals, according to the young emcee, who also added that the video tells a story.

“We talked colors, we talked epic, emotion-evoking visuals. The story is actually interesting. The song is so aggressive, and it’s sort of a love story in the video. It has a lot to do with the album [Thank Me Later]. The album is about finding love, feeling ‘Have I sold my soul’ as far as ‘Will I ever be able to gain the trust of a woman? Will I only be able to be around the dark, evil women? Will I ever find that pure love?’ Those elements are in the video. I look strong, I feel great, my knee’s feeling great. I’m jumping around, doing all kinds of stuff.”

Drake also added that he plans to give fans some of what they want, while staying true to himself.

“For people who enjoy what I’ve done in the past, I’ve got a lot of songs to cater to them. But ‘Over’ was a song I did for myself…There was this calm before the storm, and ‘Over’ represented the storm to me. It’s the moment.”

Drake has shot previous videos for tracks like Timbaland’s “Say Something” and “Best I Ever Had.”

In addition to fellow Torontonian, Melanie Fiona, Hip Hop pioneer Doug E. Fresh will also perform. And while Nashville is known to most for having a densely populated Country Music scene, the bill will be balanced out with performers from other genres including Ben Harper and Relentless7, Phoenix, Passion Pit, Cold War Kids, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars and more. Drake will walk Alexander to the ring this Saturday (March 6) at the Mohegan Sun during Alexander’s fight against Juan Urango.

The Canadian-born rap star will perform his hit single “Forever” before the fight, which will be televised live on HBO.

The 23-year-old’s met in Las Vegas where Alexander was training for the upcoming bout.

“Naturally I’m a big fan of Drake’s,” Alexander said in a statement. “He’s a really nice guy and I like the ‘Forever’ lyric. I’m looking forward to hearing it as an added bit of motivation while I’m walking into the ring to face Juan Urango on Saturday night at Mohegan Sun.”

Even fight promoter Don King was looking forward to Drake’s performance.

“I’ve always loved music and Drake is one of the hottest artist’s in the world today,” King said. “We’ve got the best young boxer in Devon Alexander and this sparkling young singer Drake. It’s going to be something special on Saturday night.”

Fans can catch Drake’s performance during the Devon Alexander vs. Juan Urango bout this Saturday starting at 9:00 PM EST.

Jeezy came out about 45 minutes into Jay-Z’s set to perform “Real as It Gets.” Hov then turned the reins over to Jeezy, who threw out a few of his street-approved rhymes, like his verse on Shawty Lo’s “Dey Know.” Jeezy told the crowd that his friend Lil Wayne was supposed to go to jail that day, but a courthouse fire delayed his sentencing on weapons charges once again. Jeezy said he wanted to bring someone out to dedicate a record to him. Nicki Minaj then came out and did her verse from “Bedrock.”

After the song, Jeezy told Nicki to stay, and the beat for “I’m Goin’ In” came on. Lil Wayne then emerged from the mini-stage where Jay’s Roc Boys band was playing and jumped on the main stage with Jeezy. The concertgoers — who were already on their feet — gave the New Orleans native a phenomenal response. Wayne’s face lit up as he rapped his verse.

Drake will hit the road for 25 dates with fellow Canadian rapper K-Os and New York City based synth-pop band, Francis & The Lights.

The 25-date tour will kick off on April 5 at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois and will wind down May 8 in Plymouth, New Hampshire at a private location.

Drake has teamed with Reverb, a non-profit environmental organization, to make the tour eco-friendly , by “greening” the tour using biodiesel fuel in his tour bus, in addition to using biodegradable and recycled products on his tour bus and backstage.

Drake will play a variety of festivals on the tour, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and The Bamboozle festival.

The tour is Drake’s first official tour since wrapping up the Lil Wayne headlined, Young Money Presents: The America’s Most Wanted Music Festival Tour dates are listed below:
