Music On Play – We Global Now – VICTORY

I wanted to share this feature from the March issue of The Source with you all in the spirit of maintaining Trae’s current level of visibility. You can also see him in the current issues of both Black Men and Urban Ink and he continues to flood the streets with great music.

Below you can download his song, I Am Tha Streets ft. Rick Ross, Game and Lloyd; another taste from Trae’s highly anticipated album, Tha Truth (ABN Entertainment/Fontana/Universal) set to drop this Summer. Rick Ross also featured this cut on his recent mixtape, The Timeless Audemars Piguet Collection.

Also below are several cuts from various DJ-hosted mixtapes that Trae continues to drop until his album releases. Next up will the release of the video for Trae’s single, Inkredible ft. Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, which was shot in Miami during Wayne’s pre-incarceration video shooting marathon.

Things are moving along nicely for Trae Tha Truth as the campaign for his upcoming solo album, Tha Truth, kicks into high gear. His Mr. Lee-produced lead single, Something Real ft. Plies, Slim Thug, Brian Angel & Jodeci is receiving high praise from editors and consumers alike and his highly anticipated first solo effort since Life Goes On is set to drop nationally via A.B.N. Entertainment/Fontana/Universal on February 16th (yes, I know mixtape cover art says Jan. 19.)

Meanwhile, Trae’s fans can enjoy the twenty-one track mixtape, The Incredible Truth and check for the single on a station near you.

June 22 was scheduled to honor Houston Rap veteran Trae The Truth. Unfortunately, the last hour of a star-studded ceremony and performances were marred by shootings, leaving a reported five injured.

On the final day of the TJs DJs/Ozone Awards weekend an altercation took place during the 2008 Awards between Houston rappers Mike Jones and Trae the Truth.

As artists and media congregated in the press area, a commotion broke out and by the time everyone made it to the hallway, Jones was being pulled back while security rushed to the scene. Read more…
