Vibe Magazine Names New Editor-In-Chief

VIBE Magazine, which was recently bought by InterMedia Partners after initially folding in July, has named Jermaine Hall as the new editor-in-chief, according to the New York Times.

Hall’s work resume includes positions as The Source’s music editor and King’s editor-in-chief. Along with EIC duties for Vibe, he will also handle the re-launch of Vibe.com. Read more…

birdman1Hip Hop fans around the world were shocked when they heard that Lil Wayne’s next album, Rebirth, would be a rock album.

Skeptics can rest assured now, however, as Bryan “Baby” Williams, Cash Money Records co-CEO and mentor to Wayne, has told VIBE magazine that those reports were not accurate – at least not entirely. Read more…

Plies Declared The Future Of Rap In Latest VIBE Issue

In what may seem to be a bold claim, VIBE magazine is declaring Florida rapper Plies  as “the future of rap” in their upcoming December issue which will feature Plies on the cover.
After releasing two albums, The Real Testament and Definition Of Real , within less than a year of each other Plies already has plans on releasing his third album next month.
And with his third album on it’s way Plies has a lot to speak on, including the future of his career and of course being “real.” Read more…
